Foundations of Trust Management Standards (FTMS®)
Foundations of Trust Management Standards (FTMS) is the first step in the trustee education path, focused on the needs of new Canadian multi-employer, public and corporate sector plan trustees. FTMS will help you understand the health and retirement needs of plan members while increasing your knowledge and awareness in the key areas of effective trust management: legal and regulatory issues, administration, governance and funding/investment/finance.

Education Doesn't Need to Feel Daunting
This course provides the necessary tools to fulfill your responsibilities as a trustee and earn your FTMS certificate. You'll have an opportunity to network and share experiences with other new trustees while gaining the need-to-know skills to succeed in your role. The open-book, multiple-choice exam gives you time to review your notes and find the correct answers. Don't be intimidated—Over 90% of attendees pass on their first attempt!

Those who attend the full 2 days of classroom instruction and successfully complete the optional test will earn the FTMS Certificate of Achievement.
Canadian Trustee Education Path
The Canadian Trustee Education path provides clear, cohesive training for however much trustee/fiduciary experience you possess. Together these programs provide the ideal blend of knowledge, skills and experience needed for effective management of trusts. This program is the first step in the trustee education path.
