Adam Boston
Adam T. Boston is the chief legal officer of the International Painters and Allied Trades Industry Pension Fund headquartered in Hanover, Maryland. He has over 15 years of legal experience including providing counsel to jointly administered Taft-Hartley employee benefit funds (in the construction industry) established under collective bargaining agreements. Boston is responsible for leading strategic and tactical legal initiatives on behalf of the IUPAT pension fund and providing senior management and trustees with effective advice and support in all aspects of governance, compliance and administration. He works together with the pension fund’s administrator and support personnel in managing and overseeing outside counsel—including a voluminous litigation docket related to delinquency and collection cases nationwide, as well as withdrawal liability matters. Due to the size and complexity of the IUPAT pension fund, Boston makes a consistent effort to work closely not only with trustees and fund office staff, but also with professional service providers and vendors to find comprehensive solutions. He holds a J.D. degree from Western New England College School of Law and an LL.M. degree in employee benefits from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, DC.
