Smooth Transitions: Workplace Accommodations and Rights for Employees and Employers

Employers know they need to support workers with disabilities; however, there are often questions regarding who is responsible, what is required and how to implement accommodations. Is it the responsibility of the employee, employer or insurer? This webcast will review parts of Canada’s Duty to Accommodate and the United States’ Americans with Disabilities Act and provide practical implications in return-to-work planning. We will look at roles and responsibilities, communication, and how workplaces can support workers and prevent discrimination. This workshop is for anyone involved in return-to-work planning, onboarding employees, guiding employers with disability policies, disability management and workforce retention.
