This session will provide a broad overview of how the pandemic has impacted the financial experience, plan design, risk management, and delivery of health and wellness benefits over the past 12+ months as well as what trends could be expected to continue.


1:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m. ET | Virtual Care and Mental Health: A Win-Win-Win Solution

Much of the telemedicine revolution has taken place in the field of mental health, where research demonstrates that the results are at least as good as—or even better than—the traditional model. This session will examine how virtual care provides unprecedented benefits to employees, benefit plan sponsors and providers, thereby reducing the burden of illness on patients and payers.

Mental health has become one of the main areas of concern in Canada—for the general population as well as for workers. In this presentation, you will learn more on the following topics: 

  • Mental Health in Canada: Facts and statistics, as well as their evolution over the years, including the impacts of mental health problems on group insurance plans   
  • What is pharmacogenetics?
  • How can pharmacogenetics help with mental health problems?
  • Practical examples:  Clinical cases review.


1:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m. ET | Vaccines—A Shot of Prevention?

This session will provide an overview of vaccines, their benefits and risks as well as considerations for how and when to include them as part of a benefits plan.

Continuing Education

cebs cpe.jpgEach session is worth one credit toward CEBS Compliance. By the conclusion of the conference, you should self-report your attendance depending on how many full sessions you watch. You do not need documentation from the Foundation to self-report your credit. Credit can be earned for watching live sessions or recorded sessions. 

Other Continuing Education Credit:

Continuing Education credit for additional professions and designations may be available depending on profession/designation requirements. You must register for the program and request CE credit at least 60 days prior to the beginning of the program so that the Foundation can seek preapproval from the governing agency. Continuing Education credit can only be earned for sessions attended live as they occurred.

Certificate of Attendance

To earn a Certificate of Attendance, you must watch three sessions in full by Friday, March 26, 2021.  Certificates of Attendance will be emailed to the address listed in your My Profile record within one month of the end of the conference.
