Account Executive

We are a Third-Party Employee Benefits Administration and Consulting Firm in the Philadelphia/South Jersey area actively recruiting an Account Executive to assist with servicing a number of our New Jersey and New York clients. Our client base is almost exclusively Taft-Hartley, collectively bargained Employee Benefit Funds. These multi-employer Funds include Health and Welfare, Defined Benefit Pension and Defined Contribution Plans and range in size from 2000 to 30,000 participants. The Account Executive will be responsible for ensuring that the highest level of service is provided, in the performance of the duties specified in our services agreements, to all assigned Client Accounts.

Major Position Responsibilities

  • Establish and build strong working relationships will all client account stakeholders.
  • Ensure the execution of all terms and conditions specified in Services Agreements. Provide recommendations on Services Agreement renewals including fee structure, new services or modifications, etc.
  • Build and maintain a comprehensive knowledge base, both current and historical, of Clients; Organization, Fund(s), Plan Documents, Plan Designs, Key Financials, Participant Profile, etc.
  • Provide recommendations and best practices, where appropriate on; Providers, Plan Design, Required Contributions, other Financial Metrics, etc.
  • Regularly interface with administrative support staff (Company and/or Clients) to ensure proper execution of duties.
  • Prepare comprehensive responses to Request for Proposals (RFP’s) and deliver effective presentations to Boards and Committees to secure the business. Draft Services Agreements for new accounts.
  • Communicate regularly with Company Leadership and Key Staff on servicing of Accounts.
  • Travel to Client offices, Trustee Meeting locations and various Company offices as required

Required Education, Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5 to 7 years of benefits management experience – especially with Taft Hartley funds, i.e.,
    • Exposure to plan design and fund administration – including accounting, compliance, communications, etc.
    • Experience dealing with Fund Counsels and Professionals, e.g., auditors, accountants, etc., as well as vendors.
    • Background interpreting and complying with Collective Bargaining Agreements.
  • Experience monitoring and reacting to state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills – focus on detail and documentation, as well as the ability to effectively comply with administrative deadlines and control project life cycles.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
