Overview
TITAN Insurance Administrators Inc. is a progressive third-party administrator of union health and welfare benefits, seeking an individual with a proven ability to oversee operations of the Trust Funds. The individual must have a thorough understanding of Trust Fund management.
Job Description:
Associate Fund Manager will provides support to all Senior Management in overseeing day-to-day operations of the Trust Funds, including communication with the Board of Trustees, Local Unions and Plan Participants.
This is a full-time, salaried (exempt) position located on site at our Fremont, California location. With a starting salary range of $110,000-$115,000 per year with benefits, reporting to the President/Trust Fund Manager.
Essential Job Functions:
The essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Responsible for assisting the Fund Manager with review of all Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs) for employers of the various Trust Funds.
- Responsible for assisting the Fund Manager with preparation and coordination of Board of Trustee meetings and drafting of meeting minutes.
- Responsible for assisting the Fund Manager with oversight of Compliance Testing tracking including drafting of delinquency letters, notifying Legal Counsel of any outstanding amounts due, liquidated damages and collection of outstanding amounts from Employers.
- Responsible for assisting the Fund Manager with reviewing all Contribution Rates and Provider Rates including Trust letters, mailings to Employers, and new Contribution Rates and Plan Designs.
- Assists the Fund Manager with development and distribution of all notifications to plan participants including changes in benefits and annual notices.
- Assists the Accounting Department with various tasks including but not limited to review and verification of participant enrollments, month-end provider reports.
- Attend Labor Industry events and Healthcare Conferences as required.
- Responsible for other duties including Ad-hoc/special projects as assigned by Management.
- Fosters and maintains positive, professional working relationship with superiors, peers, and other department managers and personnel.
- Assist Auditors and Department Managers, attends staff meetings and training sessions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance or related field or equivalent experience.
- Three (3) to Five (5) years of Benefit Plan Manager level experience.
- Demonstrated track record in Employee Supervision, Leadership, and Team Building.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Outstanding analytical skills, problem-solving skills, organizational skills and ability to meet all deadlines.
- Ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
- Ability to learn the industry, Trust Fund rules, and develop an in-depth understanding of all parties involved (i.e., Employer, Union, and Trust Fund).
- Ability to work well under pressure in a professional manner.
- Excellence in attendance and reliability.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time, reach outward or above the shoulder, stand, walk, handle with fingers, stand, bend, and stoop.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 50 pounds.
