ERISA Attorney

Pitta LLP, a labor, employment and employee benefits law firm in New York City, is seeking an ERISA attorney with at least three (3) years of experience. We represent 40 plus labor unions in the public and private sector, as well as their affiliated employee benefit funds. Applicants must have extensive experience representing multi-employer Taft – Hartley benefit funds, including pension and welfare funds. Applicants should be admitted to the New York State bar, have a strong academic background, excellent research, writing and communication skills, be able to work independently and collegially as part of a team, and have a commitment to the labor movement. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, qualified plan design and review, compliance, fund merger and acquisition issues, IRS and DOL audits, providing legal advice to Fund Trustees and Trust Fund administrative personnel, and working with other plan professionals.
