ERISA Advisory Council Meeting Scheduled for September 8 and 9; Statements Due September 1

The Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) announced the 212th meeting of the Advisory Council on Employee Welfare and Pension Benefit Plans (ERISA Advisory Council) to be held via teleconference on September 8 and 9, 2022 from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm ET. The purpose of the meeting is for Advisory Council members to hear testimony from invited witnesses and to receive an update from the EBSA. In addition, the ERISA Advisory Council continues studying the following topics:

• Cybersecurity Issues Affecting Health Benefit Plans

• Cybersecurity Insurance and Employee Benefit Plans

The ERISA Advisory Council’s web page includes descriptions of the topics. The web page will post instructions for public access to the teleconference meeting one week prior to the meeting.

Statements are due Thursday, September 1, 2022.
